Heroin along with arms and ammunition recovered by BSF in Ferozepur Sector
The BSF troops belonging to 116 Battalion of BSF today recovered six packets of heroin weighing 6.360 Kg worth Rs. 31.5 crores
Ferozepur, January 12, 2022: The BSF troops belonging to 116 Battalion of BSF today recovered six packets of heroin weighing 6.360 Kg worth Rs. 31.5 crores along with one pistol, one magazine and 50 live rounds near BOP New Mohammadi Wala in this sector.
As per information available, the BSF troops on duty observed some suspicious movement and heard a thumbing sound during the wee hours. Immediately, an alert was sounded and a search operation was carried out during which the consignment was recovered.
In another seizure, the BSF sleuths belonging to 101 Battalion recovered one packet of heroin weighing 1.064 Kg from border outpost K K Barrier along the border. The estimated cost of the recovered consignment is Rs. 5 crore (approximate).
It is pertinent to mention here that yesterday the BSF had recovered 22 kg heroin worth Rs. 110 crores in three separate incidents in this sector.
