Heroin worth Rs 65 crores recovered by BSF

Ferozepur: The troops belonging to 116 Battalion of BSF have recovered 13 kg heroin worth Rs. 65 crores in the international market. As per information available, the recovery was made during a search operation carried out by the BSF troops. Sources said that the consignment was found in 4 red colour canisters of approximate capacity of 5 litre each.
Earlier on September 21, one kg heroin was recovered by the sleuths belonging to 136 Battalion in this sector.
Notably, 415.364 kg heroin has been recovered this year by the BSF in Punjab this year. /(Sept 24)
