Heroin worth Rs.55 crores recovered by BSF in Ferozepur Sector
The consignment was recovered from the fields situated across the fencing
Ferozepur, December 25, 2021: The alert troops belonging to 136 Battalion BSF today recovered 11 packets of Heroin (weighing 10.852 kg) near border out post (BOP) Barreke along the Indo-Pakistan border in this sector.
The estimated cost of the recovered consignment is pegged at about Rs.55 crore in the international market.
As per information, the consignment was recovered from the fields situated across the fencing during a search operation carried out by BSF troops during the wee hours.
Earlier on November 30, the BSF troops belonging to 116 Battalion had recovered 2 kg heroin worth Rs.10 crores near BOP Kassoke in this sector.
