Hi-tech Ultrasound and other diagnostic facilities inaugurated at Rural Health Centre Pohir
To provide the best medical care and diagnostic facilities to rural community at affordable cost, under DMCH Rural Outreach programme (DROP) a Hi-Tech Ultrasound and diagnostic facilities including auto analyser for investigation and sanitary pad vending machine were inaugurated today at Rural Health Centre Pohir.
Ludhiana, January 14, 2023: To provide the best medical care and diagnostic facilities to rural community at affordable cost, under DMCH Rural Outreach programme (DROP) a Hi-Tech Ultrasound and diagnostic facilities including auto analyser for investigation and sanitary pad vending machine were inaugurated today at Rural Health Centre Pohir.
This is another unique initiative taken by DMCH that will strengthen the diagnostic facilities and will help to enhance the quality of life of rural population.
These facilities were inaugurated by Satish C Sanwalka, Treasurer, DMCH Managing Society along with Prem Kumar Gupta Secretary DMCH Managing Society, Principal DMCH Dr Sandeep Puri, Vice Principal Dr G S Wander, Medical Sudts Dr Ashwani K Chaudhary, Dr Bishav Mohan and Dr Sandeep Sharma, Professor & Head Department of Community Medicine Dr Anurag Chaudhary, Associate Professor Department of Community Medicine Dr Surinder Pal Singh and all faculty from department of community medicine and faculty doing opd under DMCH Rural Outreach programme also graced the occasion.
In his message, Satish C Sanwalka, Treasurer, DMCH Managing Society said that main purpose of launching these hi-tech diagnostic facilities at RHC Pohir is to make the healthcare facilities more accessible for the rural and semi urban community and it will help to timely detection, diagnosis, and treatment of various disease.
Speaking on the occasion, Secretary DMCH Managing Society Prem Kumar Gupta said that the outreach program which is running at RHC Pohir since May 2022 is DMCH’s commitment to give quality health care services at affordable cost to the rural and semi urban population. Under this programme more than 25,000 thousand patients have benefitted from the medical services from our super specialist and these hi tech and robust diagnostic facilities added feather in the cap highlighted Gupta.
Dr Bishav Mohan, Medical Supdt. DMCH highlighted that we have taken an initiative to make health care and diagnostic facilities easily approachable for the rural and semi urban population and deliver high quality preventive, promotive and curative healthcare and diagnostic facilities by our super specialist.
In her message, Dr Anurag Chaudhray Professor & Head Department of Community Medicine said that, Rural Health Centre Pohir has state of the art medical facilities to serve the rural community and health awareness talks were already being conducted for good health and wellbeing of rural community.
Speaking on the occasion Dr R K Mittal, Professor & Head Department of Plastic Surgery and Dr Surinder Pal Singh Associate Professor Department of Community Medicine DMCH who coordinated with local NGOs and various Societies that these diagnostic facilities help to overcome the barriers of good health care facilities and uplift the quality of life in rural areas.
Medical facilities are still not easily accessible to the rural population. With basic medical facilities beyond their reach, rural population can never imagine the facilities of super specialist at their door steps. In view of this DMCH had started DMCH Rural Outreach Programme (DROP) in the month of May this year.
Taking a step forward, in this regard DMCH has strengthened the diagnostic facilities at Rural Health Centre Pohir by launching this hi- tech ultrasound and other diagnostic facilities at affordable cost.
