Himachal Congress MLAs staged a dharna outside the Vidhan Sabha in Tapovan, Dharamshala during the winter session on Thursday. Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, Deputy CM Mukesh Agnihotri and all Congress MLAs also participated in it.

Dharamshala, December 19, 2024: Himachal Congress MLAs staged a dharna outside the Vidhan Sabha in Tapovan, Dharamshala during the winter session on Thursday. Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, Deputy CM Mukesh Agnihotri and all Congress MLAs also participated in it.
Congress accused the Bharatiya Janata Party of insulting Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar and called the country's Home Minister Amit Shah's remarks shameful and raised slogans against him.
The Chief Minister said that the Congress condemns the statement of the Union Home Minister. He said that Amit Shah became so intoxicated with power that he insulted Baba Saheb, who taught the country how to walk by giving the Constitution.
Congress MLA Suresh Kumar said that BJP and RSS were against Dalits earlier and are still against them. This is the real face of BJP. Chief Minister Sukhwinder Sukhu said that Congress will not tolerate the insult of the Constitution maker. In protest against this, a symbolic dharna was held outside the Vidhan Sabha today.
