Himachal Cricket Association performed puja for dry weather during coming matches
Two T-20 matches of the coming cricket series between India and Sri Lanka will be played at the Dharamsala Cricket Stadium in Himachal Pradesh on 26 and 27 of this month
Dharamsala, February 12, 2022: Two T-20 matches of the coming cricket series between India and Sri Lanka will be played at the Dharamsala Cricket Stadium in Himachal Pradesh on 26 and 27 of this month for which this HPCA has intensified the preparations.
As In the year 2019 and 2020 two matches between India and South Africa were washed out due to rain At Dharamsala Stadium, the officials of HPCA on Saturday, offered prayers in the Indrunag ( local rain God ) temple ,so that the weather to be remain clear during the T20 matches between India and Sri Lanka on 26 February and 27 February2022. HPCA officials also performed ‘Havana and Kanya poojan’ on this occasion.
HPCA Secretary Sumit Sharma said that it has been learned that the dates of the India-Sri Lanka match have been rescheduled, according to which two T20 matches of this series will be played here on February 26 and February 27, although the information has not been shared yet officially. He said that preparations are already being on to hold the match at Dharamsala Stadium. The ground will be ready by February 20, he added.
It is worth mentioning here that the spectators will not be able to witness these matches this time as per Covid protocol, but there is a lot of enthusiasm among the people about matches to be held here.
