Himachal Cricket Association should offer its stadium and hotel to be used as Corona Centres: Rajendra Rana
Says stadium and hotel have been built on the land, leased by the state government
Dharamsala: Rajendra Rana, Vice President of Pradesh Congress Committee and MLA from Sujanpur constituency, has said that Himachal Cricket Association, which is the richest sports institution and has the crores of rupees, should voluntarily come forward to offer its HPCA Stadium and Pavilion Hotel of Dharamsala, to be used for Covid patients.
In a statement issued here today, Rajendra Rana said that Himachal Cricket Association's stadium and the its hotel have been built in Dharamshala on the land, leased by the state government and they should offered these buildings to the state government for used as the Covid Centers and to show generosity to support the government in this hour of crisis.
Rajendra Rana said, “Many organizations including Radha Swami Dera Beas, served the suffering humanity and the needy in this difficult period of Corona epidemic, by offering their huge building, man power and food. Dera Satsang Beas had exaggerated its social responsibility in the first wave of this epidemic and in the second wave also the organisation is engaged in the service of humanity and its building is being used as Covid Center in Paraur in district Kangra, where the arrangements have been made for the treatment of 1000 patients. The Himachal Cricket Association, having a big Hotel and stadium in Dharamsala, did not dare to offer these buildings for the help of people in this hour of crisis.”
He said that if the Himachal Cricket Association thought to work in this direction, people would praise it, but it did not fulfil their social concerns and responsibility, which is very unfortunate.
He added that many leaders of the Congress party are also constantly engaged in the service of the needy by offering their properties and manpower and are not shirking in providing relief to the people.
