Himachal Governor & CM expresses grief over rail mishap near Taksal (Kalka)

Shimla, September 12, 2015: Governor, Acharya Devvrat and Chief Minister, Shri Virbhadra Singh expressed his grief over the sad demise of two foreign nationals from United Kingdom who were killed in rail mishap near Taksal (Kalka) today.

As per reports, two bogies of chartered train derailed from the track while the train was coming to Shimla.

There were around 37 passengers on board out of which 34 were reported as foreigners from United Kingdom. The injured after first aid at ESIC hospital at Parwanoo were shifted to Max Hospital Chandigarh. There were three Indians amongst the eight injured out of which the condition of two was stated to be critical.

Chief Minister said that we are in touch with the UK Embassy authorities.
