Dharamsala, September 6, 2013: Ankush Bains who hails from Una, has been selected for the quadrangular series in India under 23 team.
Commenting on this President of Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association (HPCA), Anuraag Singh Thakur said, “In addition to Bains, other Himachal player Prashant Chopra from Solan had also been selected for the Under-23 national team earlier and Sushma Verma of the state is also playing for the country in Women Section at the highest level and has been a consistent performer.”
India shall play in the quadrangular series with Australia, South Africa and Zimbawe at Vishakhapattnam from September 23 to October 5.
Anuraag said that HPCA is committed to provide world class facilities to the players and the day is not far off when more players of the association will be playing for the nation and the senior team to make state proud.
He further added, “It is the infrastructure created in the last ten years and world class coaching provided in a fair and transparent manner that has made this possible and we are striving hard to provide international facilities to all our players."
