Himachal News- BCCI Joint Secretary Anuraag Thakur also appointed Convener of four committees

Dharamsala, September 30, 2013: In the 84th Annual General Meeting of Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), Anurag Thakur has been unanimously elected as the Joint Secretary of the BCCI for second time in a row.

This news is not new, every cricket lover knows it. But there are many other offices given by BCCI to the President of HPCA Anurag Thakur could be a welcome surprise for all.

In a press release of HPCA at Dharamsala it is indicated that he (Anuraag) was also appointed convener/member in following committees of BCCI: Convener of All India Junior Selection Committee, Convener of Umpire Sub-Committee, Convener of Junior Cricket Committee, Convener of Vizzy Trophy Committee and Member of Affiliation Committee.

The spokesperson of HPCA, Yudhister Katoch said, “It is another feather in Anurag Thakurs’ personal cap while his accomplishment has set a new milestone if we see the path of success of HPCA and moreover, this milestone is a clear source of inspiration and motivation for all of us. He has led the HPCA from front making it a force to reckon within the cricketing arena. His dedication, commitment and achievements has been acknowledged by the cricket board and his election as the Joint Secretary of BCCI is a reward of his unparallel conviction for cricket development throughout India.”
