BJP walkout on PDS issue as GS Bali, Minister for Transport and Food Supply, Himachal Pradesh fails to convince Opposition in ministerial address during the 3rd day of winter session of Vidhan Sabha at Tapovan near Dharamsala on Wednesday.

Dharamsala, December 18, 2013: Unsatisfied by the reply of the Himachal Pradesh food and civil supply & consumer affair minister GS Bali, BJP MLAs staged a walk over in the HP Assembly at 4.10 pm in Dharamsala on Wednesday.
The Dhumal-led Opposition was demanding the proper reply by Bali over the yesterday’s left over discussion under Rule 130 laid by Mahender Singh of BJP on Food Security Bill/Rajiv Gandhi Food Schemes, where as the minister was reading out the detail of the food projects.
The session was also disturbed on Monday due to the noisy atmosphere created by BJP over the rejection of adjournment motion under Section-67 over corruption and other allegations on ruling Congress government.
Earlier, assembly passed the Himachal Pradesh Home Guards Amendment Bill 2013 on voice vote after some objections laid by Opposition leader PK Dhumal. Vidhan Sabha also passed HP Value Added Tax Amendment Bill 2013 and HP Tax on Luxuries (in hotels and lodging houses) second Amendment Bill 2013.
