Himanshi Bansal Awarded Prestigious DAAD Scholarship for Advanced Research in Germany
The Energy Research Centre at Panjab University (PU), Chandigarh, is proud to announce that Himanshi Bansal, PhD. Scholar and distinguished researcher in the field of sustainable coatings reinforced with bioactive components, has been awarded the prestigious DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) Scholarship entitled “Research Grants - Bi-nationally Supervised Doctoral Degrees/Cotutelle”,2024/25 (57693451) for one year.
Chandigarh, June 24, 2024: The Energy Research Centre at Panjab University (PU), Chandigarh, is proud to announce that Himanshi Bansal, PhD. Scholar and distinguished researcher in the field of sustainable coatings reinforced with bioactive components, has been awarded the prestigious DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) Scholarship entitled “Research Grants - Bi-nationally Supervised Doctoral Degrees/Cotutelle”,2024/25 (57693451) for one year.
She is working under the supervision of Dr. Surinder Singh Bhinder; Associate Professor at Dr. SSB UICET and mentorship of Prof. S.K. Mehta, Department of Chemistry, PU and Vice Chancellor of University of Ladakh, Leh, India.
This highly competitive scholarship will enable her to pursue advanced research under the mentorship of Professor Michael Gradzielski at the Technical University of Berlin, Germany. During her scholarship period of one year, Himanshi will work closely with Professor Michael Gradzielski, an esteemed scientist renowned for his expertise in colloid and interface science, micro-emulsions and Micellar Systems. Her research will focus on the development and optimization of sustainable coatings reinforced with bioactive components, a critical area in the sustainable food packaging applications and in promoting global environmental sustainability.
Himanshi Bansal, has been selected for this scholarship due to her exceptional academic record and research potential. The DAAD scholarship is a testament to her dedication and the high-quality research being conducted at the Energy Research Centre, PU.
