Jalandhar, April 8, 2015: DAV College, Jalandhar witnessed the bash of Commerce Fest 2015. Himanshu crowned as Mr. Farewell and Ruby bagged the crown of Miss Farewell.
In the commerce fest organised by Commerce Forum of DAV College Jalandhar, whole auditorium danced to the beats of "Chittiyan Kalaiyaaan Ve, Abhi To Party Shuru Hui Hai, Aunty Police Bulaaalegi, Jaguar and Black Suit Hoya Tainu Ban". Prof Nidhi Aggarwal, President Commerce Forum said that this fest is an annual feature of the department dedicated to the students of commerce through which students are judged on the basis of their talent, creativity and general knowledge.
Fest began with the floral welcome of chief guest and the deputy registrar Prof. Kiranjeet Randhawa by HoD of the commerce department Prof. Vijay Gupta. He also told everyone regarding the general functioning of the department and wished them luck.
After the holy lamp lighting, cultural program saw it's beginning with the Folk Dance Giddha.
In a highly packed auditorium, various competitions saw their placing including Solo dance, group dance, group song and modelling as the main source of attraction.
Prof. Vijay Gupta, Prof. Manish khanna and Dr. Rajwant Kaur were also honoured. On this occasion, Prof Manav Aggarwal, Prof. Naveen Sood, Prof. Naveen Saini, Prof. Kamaldeep, Prof. Sameer Sharma, Prof. Seema Sharma, Dr. Rajkumar, Dr. Sanjeev Dhawan, Dr. Manu Sood, Prof. Nishchay Behal, Prof. Monika, Prof. Lalit Goyal, Prof. Kamaljeet also marked their presence.
Whole programme was anchored by Prof. Manish Arora.
Results:
Ragini and Manik Sharma bagged 1st and 2nd position respectively in the category of Dance Solo which was judged by Prof. Rajeev Puri, Prof. Manish Khanna and Prof. Amit Jain.
In the category of Group Dance, 1st position was bagged by Keerti and Ragini Group. While Sarvesh, Amandeep And Varinder (Bhangra) bagged 2nd position. Judges were Prof Arun Mehra, Prof Ram Kumar, Dr Sanjeev Sharma, Prof Ekjot Kaur.

2nd - Shreya, Anchit, Richa and Shubham.
