Hindi Diwas celebrated at SCS, Panjab University with a poetic expression in Hindi
Expressing their love for Hindi language, students and faculty of the School of Communication Studies, Panjab University, celebrated the ‘Hindi Diwas’ with a poetry recitation event called ‘Abhivyakti – Poetry Recitation’.
Chandigarh, September 15, 2023: Expressing their love for Hindi language, students and faculty of the School of Communication Studies, Panjab University, celebrated the ‘Hindi Diwas’ with a poetry recitation event called ‘Abhivyakti – Poetry Recitation’.
Dr. Bhavneet Bhatti, Chairperson, School of Communication Studies shared, “ SCS is making an attempt to commemorate the Hindi Diwas by providing a platform to students to express their creativity and love of language with recitation of self-composed poems in Hindi,” she added that , “ it is heart warming to see that students from different disciplines are bonding over this common love for language and poetry.”
The event commenced with recitation of a poem written by Prof. Archana R. Singh, performed by Nilesh Seth, a second-year student of Master’s in the department. Thereafter various compositions on the themes of love, loss, patriotism, were recited by the students. In addition to poetry, a melodious energy was brought by Akshita, a student of MA-II through a musical performance.
As a part of the celebration, Ethnic Day was also observed by the students of SCS who dressed up in colourful Indian attire for the occasion and brought together the cultural ethos of the country.
