History Association of PCM SD College for Women holds Paper Reading Contest
The History Association of PCM SD College for Women, Jalandhar, successfully organized a Paper Reading Contest on the topic, "A Tribute to Saragarhi Martyrs." The event saw enthusiastic participation from students of BA Semester I and II who showcased their research and knowledge in honor of the heroes of the Battle of Saragarhi.

Jalandhar, September 14, 2024: The History Association of PCM SD College for Women, Jalandhar, successfully organized a Paper Reading Contest on the topic, "A Tribute to Saragarhi Martyrs." The event saw enthusiastic participation from students of BA Semester I and II who showcased their research and knowledge in honor of the heroes of the Battle of Saragarhi.
The event provided a platform for students to engage with history in a meaningful way and express their reverence for the martyrs through insightful presentations. Each participant delved into the historical significance, bravery, and legacy of the soldiers who fought at Saragarhi, paying homage to their selfless sacrifice.
The contest not only enhanced the students’ understanding of the Saragarhi battle but also fostered a sense of pride and respect for the rich heritage of Punjab.
President Naresh Budhia, Senior Vice President Vinod Dada, other members of the managing committee and Principal Prof.(Dr.)Pooja Prashar felicitated the efforts of Kawaljit Kaur and Dr Renu Bala for organising the event with combined efforts and of making this tribute a fitting commemoration of the Saragarhi martyrs.
