Jalandhar, December 18, 2021: ANO Lt Sonia Mahindru and Army wing cadets of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar under the aegis of 2PB(G) BN NCC Jalandhar celebrated Vijay Diwas by participating in Webinar on ‘Swarnim Vijay Varsh of 1971 War and Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsavav’ organized by Regional Outreach Bureau, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India Chandigarh. Brig. MPS Bajwa a veteran of 1971 & Kargil War and Mrs. Protima Mander, Head of History Department of HMV Jalandhar were speakers of the day. Brig. MPS Bajwa talked about insights of both wars shared his experiences of battle field and finally glorious victory which led to the creation of Bangladesh. Mrs. Protima Mander narrated the saga of the freedom struggle in India and highlighted the role of fearless freedom fighters who fought till their last breath for the freedom of our country. Entire Webinar was great learning experience for all participants.
Principal Dr. Ajay Sareen said that such webinars are big motivation for cadets, they help in inculcating patriotic feelings and social responsibilities among youth of nation. CO Col NPS Toor said that such webinars should be encouraged as cadets come to know about heroic contributions made by soldiers during war times and which will motivate them to join armed forces.
