Jalandhar, November 12, 2021: With the vision and mission of creating healthy and sound society, an extension lecture on ‘Ayurveda and Lifestyle’ was organised at H.M.V. Collegiate Sr. Sec. School, Jalandhar under the leadership of Principal Prof. Dr. ( Mrs.) Ajay Sareen. The Lecture was one from the strings of events celebrated on the occasion of 75th anniversary of India's independence ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav' headed by Ayush Department of Indian Government and Guru Ravidas Ayurvedic University. The Resource Person was Dr. Gayatri M. Prakash of Dayanand Ayurvedic College who was cordially welcomed by the School Coordinator with planter as per the tradition of H.M.V. The Resource Person discussed in detail about the evolution of Ayurveda, significance of Yoga and Meditation, ways to increase concentration level and role of diet on healthy life. The lecture proved to be highly suggestive to the students in which they involved boisterously. Principal Prof. Dr.(Mrs.) Ajay Sareen congratulated the School Coordinator for organizing such thought- provoking extension lectures where the students get a chance to peep into the oldest holistic healing system – Ayurveda. She apprised the students that in Ayurveda health and wellness defend on a delicate balance between the mind, body and spirit. Mrs. Meenakshi Syal, School Coordinator thanked the Resource Person for sharing valuable knowledge and added that extension lectures on health make the students aware about different facets of leading healthy lifestyle which contribute in their holistic development as healthy mind resides in healthy body.
