HMV hosted 12th National Voter’s Day
Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar organized a majestic event to celebrate 12th National Voter’s Day in association with District Election Office
Jalandhar, January 25, 2022: Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar organized a majestic event to celebrate 12th National Voter’s Day in association with District Election Office and under the able guidance of Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen. Deputy Commissioner, Jalandhar, IAS Sh. Ghanshaym Thori was the Chief Guest of the occasion. IAS, Ojasvi Alankar, Assistant Commissioner UT, Tehsildar Eections, Sh. Sukhdev, AssistantDistrict Nodal Officer SVEEP, Sh. Surjit Lal and Sh. Rakesh also graced the occasion with their presence. The event began with the traditional lighting of lamp followed by green welcome of the dignitaries. DC, Jalandhar Sh. Ghanshaym Thori appreciated the efforts of HMV for organizing the event and said that motive behind this celebration is to make the voters aware about using their votes justfully especially in the pandemic scenario. The selection of the leader depends on the honest conduct of the elections thus its imperative that every component fairs impartially. The event included the performance of Jugni on “Meri Vote Meri Takat” and a Nukkad Natak titled “Meri Vote Mera Adhikar” directed by Dr. Ankur Sharma, Media Persons. Mrs. Seema Soni and RJ Himanshu detailed about the competitions of Poster Making and Slogan Writing. Mrs. Manju was declared as Best BLO and Sh. Surjit Lal was honoured as Best SVEEP Officer. Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen was honoured as the Best Voting Event Organiser by the District Election Office. She expressed her gratitude towards District Election Office for initiating smart and healthy city movement. She expressed her delight that HMV is organizing the Voter’s Day for sixth time in continuing. She also thanked the media representatives, Department of Political Science, Fine Arts, Multimedia and Faculty and Staff for the successful conduct of the events. She also thanked the co-ordinator. Dr. Anjana Bhatia, Dean Innovations and Research. The winners of the various competitions were awarded with certificates. The event concluded with an oath to cast the votes honestly followed by National Anthem.
