Jalandhar, November 9, 2014: The students of the Sports Department of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya participated in Women State Sports Festival held at Ludhiana from 30th Oct. to 1st Nov. and won Silver Medal in Basketball and Kho Kho team.
In individual categories in AthleticsSukhwinder Kaur won Silver Medal in 200 Mtrs Race, 400 Mtrs Race and 4x100 Mtrs Relay Race. Kirandeep Kaur won Silver Medal in 100 Mtrs Race and 4x100 mtrs Relay Race. Gurleen Kaur won Bronze Medal in Shotput Throw. In Swimming Shivangi won Silver Medal in 4x100 mtrs Free Style Relay and Bronze Medal in 4x100 mtrs Medley Relay.
Principal Dr. Rekha Kalia Bhardwaj congratulated the students, coaches of he games and members of sports department. She also told the said students have been selected for Women National Sports Festival.
On this occasion, Sudarshan Kang, Head Physical Education Department was also present.
