Holi Celebration Event “Holi Hai” was organised by the Department of Music, Panjab University, Chandigarh today
Chandigarh, March 17, 2022: Holi Celebration Event “Holi Hai” was organised by the Department of Music, Panjab University, Chandigarh today. On this event a colourful extravaganza of sports and cultural event was organised. Professor Neelam Paul, Chairperson of the department said that Holi is one of the most vibrant and colourful festivals celebrated in India. Holi signifies the triumph of good over evil. It is a festival when people forgive and forget and let go of the negative energies from their lives to start afresh.
Students, staff and faculty members participated in the celebration. Celebration started with “Holi Gayan” with great seasonal fervour. Students participated in different sports and cultural events. Himanshi Tanwar, Amanjot Singh, Sakshi Ratti, Palak Sood, Rahul Pujari, Harshdeep Singh Bhatt, Ramandeep Singh, Gobind Kumar Sharma, Amandeep Kaur and Manpreet won prizes in various sports and Cultural categories. Faculty Members Mr. Amritpal Singh and Ms. Gupreet Kaur won Faculty category game. Celebration concluded with appreciation to organising team Anshuka Dogra, Raminder Deep Singh, Vidhushi Justa and Sudipto Pramanick.
