Chandigarh, April 16, 2025: Government Home Science College, Chandigarh, recently concluded a highly successful week-long Internship and Placement Drive, with participation from reputed organizations across the sectors of nutrition, healthcare, fashion, education, banking, and social welfare. Over 300 students from all departments registered for the drive.
Recruiting organizations included Nestle, Fortis Hospital, Fitwiser, Health Direct Nutriva, Classic Fitness Academy, Santushti Clinic, Active Clothing, Albesier, Pehrawa Boutique, Jaipur Textures, Loomify Industries, Fabbat Boutique, Mehar Baba Charitable Trust, Sifaas Foundation, Bachpan NGO, Expert Education, IDP Consultants, ICICI Bank, National Association for the Blind, NIPSIT, and SCERT.
All companies conducted pre-placement talks, shared insights into their organizations, and offered guidance on professional skills and career expectations. As a result, 100% of students were offered internships in reputed organizations, and 30 students received on-the-spot job offers, with salary packages ranging from ₹3 to ₹5 LPA.
Adding to the success, ICICI Bank sponsored hospitality expenses amounting to ₹10,000 for participating recruiting and internship companies and their teams. Principal Dr. Sudha Katyal commended the IEP Cell for their efforts and encouraged students to participate in such meaningful career-building initiatives.
