Home Science Students participate in Live Webcast on India Skills Competition 2023-24
Innovation Entrepreneurship and Placement cell of Government Home Science College Sector 10, Chandigarh, organised a telecast of Live Webcast on India Skills Competition 2023-24, on January 15, to encourage its students to exploit and showcase their innovative skills at National and International Platform.
Chandigarh, January 16, 2024: Innovation Entrepreneurship and Placement cell of Government Home Science College Sector 10, Chandigarh, organised a telecast of Live Webcast on India Skills Competition 2023-24, on January 15, to encourage its students to exploit and showcase their innovative skills at National and International Platform.
This competition was organised by Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship to sensitise all concerned stakeholders of the skilling ecosystem and encourage Indian youth for harnessing their skills. It aimed to foster and enhance the skills of individuals in more than 60 skill domains like construction and building technology, artificial intelligence and machine learning, automotive technology, fashion designing, hair dressing, baking, industry 4.0, cyber security, plumbing, IT and much more. Students from different educational institutions across the country participated in this competition. Winners of district/state and subsequently national competition winners through a process of selection, will represent India at World Skills competition scheduled to be held in France in September 2024.
More than 50 students of UG and PG classes from the college witnessed live you tube telecast of this event and registered for this Competition. Principal Prof Sudha Katyal motivated the students to participate in this competition. She added that this competition will not only boost the confidence of the students but also contribute to the overall development of skill sets in various domains.
