Jalandhar: A special program was organized by Lyalpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar to appreciate and honour the contributions of Mr Harry Bains, Cabinet Minister, Ministry of Labour, British Columbia, Canada, towards the cause of Punjabi Culture and heritage.
College Principal Dr Gurpinder Singh Samra along with Mr Jagdeep Singh Shergill, Member Governing Council and Prof Jasreen Kaur, Dean, Academic Affairs welcomed Mr. Harry Bains with a bouquet of flowers.
Speaking on the occasion, Principal Dr Gurpinder Singh Samra highlighted the tremendous services rendered by Mr Harry Bains for public welfare as the Cabinet Minister in the Ministry of Labour, British Columbia, Canada.
Dr Samra also appreciated the same as on outcome owed much to the principles set forth by the Punjabi ideologies and heritage subsequently adding new dimensions to the Candian prosperity.
On this occasion, Mr Harry Bains informed of his struggles and experiences in the political sphere of Canada wherein he has met with an overwhelming support of the Punjabi contingent.
The program was also observed by Mr Harminder Singh Atwal (UK), Mr Parminder Singh Hayer and Mr Sarabjot Singh Lally, (Executive Members, Jatt Sikh Council) Mr Datar Singh Lally (Life member Jatt Sikh Council) along with the Heads of Departments and senior faculty members.
The stage was managed by Dr Surinderpal Mand.
