Ludhiana, February 23, 2024: Horizon School Of Excellence, Bhamian Road recently hosted its inaugural annual function, "Khul Ja Sim Sim," within the school's picturesque open-air Amphitheatre.
The event was honoured by the presence of Sunil Gupta, Vice President of Nehru Sidhant Kender Trust, who graced the occasion as the chief guest. Jasdeep Kaur, the school's Principal, took the opportunity to present the school's first academic report, emphasizing the unique partnership between Nehru Sidhant Kender Trust and Shri Gow Rakshni Sabha to provide holistic education to economically disadvantaged children. Horizon School of Excellence remains steadfast in its commitment to nurturing the potential and talents of its students.
The annual function, Khul Ja Sim Sim served as an outstanding platform for students to showcase their creativity and talents through various cultural performances. The event commenced with an impressive and well-coordinated role play of Vikram-Betaal performed by Grade 2 students. Students from Pravesh Vatika and Upvan presented captivating dance performances set to aspirational songs.
The festivities continued with a well-rehearsed 'Nukkad Natak,' colourful 'Jaago' performances, and energetic 'Bhangra,' all contributing to the excitement and grandeur of the dance drama, Khul Ja Sim Sim. The 'Grand Finale' featured participation from all students of the school. Shri Sunil Gupta commended the hard work of both teachers and students in delivering an exceptional performance. He also shared Nehru Sidhant Kender Trust's commitment to promoting quality education among underserved communities.
The event was attended by Bipin Gupta, Vice Chairman of Horizon School of Excellence, Bhupinder Gogia, Principal of Sat Paul Mittal School, Gauri Chhabra, and Trustees of Nehru Sidhant Kender Trust. A member of the teaching staff expressed gratitude in the vote of thanks, followed by the rendition of the school song and the national anthem, concluding the memorable occasion.
