HOTEL AND OTHER COMMERCIAL RESIDENTIAL BUILDINGS' OWNERS ASKED TO REGISTER
COMMISSIONER OF POLICE ISSUES ORDERS Ludhiana, February 15, 2019: Exercising the powers vested under Section 144, Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (Act 2 of 1974), the Commissioner of Police Ludhiana Dr.Sukhchain Singh Gill has issued the order to owners of Hotels/ Dharamshala / Sarai/Guest Houses/PGs/Palaces (established and being constructed), falling under his jurisdiction to get these registered under Sarai Act 1867. In the said order, it has been said that Ludhiana is the leading industrial city of Punjab due to a large number of business-related businessmen and other passengers stay here for the night. It has been observed that many of these housing administrators have not been registered according to law. Due to which the lives of the passengers/ businessmen staying in these places remain in danger. This order has been issued keeping in mind the safety of the people and other reasons. This order has become in force immediately.
