Dharamsala, April 23, 2022: Aam Aadmi Party's national convener and Delhi Chief Minister Kejriwal completely targeted Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur, BJP and Congress leaders of the state in his 20-minute speech in Chambi near Dharamsala on Saturday. Kejriwal said that Jai Ram Thakur is so afraid of Aam Aadmi Party that HP CM has even started cheating the policies of AAP. Kejriwal said, “Thakur recently announced to give 125 units of electricity free to Himachalis and was even snubbed by PM Modi and got instructions not to repeat such offers.
“Arvind said if BJP is really serious about providing such relief to the public then they should make such announcements in other BJP ruled states like Haryana, MP and Gujarat.
Kejriwal, the national convener of the Aam Aadmi Party and the Chief Minister of Delhi, made his second visit to Himachal Pradesh within a month(earlier he had visited Mandi, the home district of HP CM). As the assembly elections of Himachal are slated later this year, Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday targeted Kangra, the largest district of the state. He addressed a public meeting at Chambi Maidan in Shahpur Assembly Constituency and said that he has been informed that the Modi government will announce elections a few months earlier, but AAP shall win in Himachal- no matter when the elections were called.
Kejriwal also took a dig at Jai Ram Thakur on the condition of government schools in Himachal. He said that come to Delhi and see the government schools there. Not only has the condition of government schools improved but the standard of education has also been improved there.
“I invite the public of HP along with CM Jai Ram Thakur to visit government schools in Delhi. We have improved the schools so much in the past 5 years that the board results of government schools was 99.7% this year. And seeing this improvement, 4 lakh children have shifted from private schools to government schools this year. We have also restricted private schools from raising fees for the past 7 years”, said Kejriwal.
He said that only AAP can improve schools in HP. He said that the government hospitals have also been improved in Delhi and everybody is being given free medical facilities in Delhi.
“If you wish such facilities and an honest government in HP too, then vote for Aam Aadmi Party in coming elections,” said Kejriwal. “Congress has ruled for the past 30 years and BJP for 17 years in Himachal. I request the public to give just five years to the Aam Aadmi Party. After that we will not come to ask for votes, people will vote only for our development works,” added the Delhi CM.
He concluded by saying that AAP has been giving corruption-free governance to Delhi, if a chance is given a similar governance shall be given to Himachal also.
