HPCA launches its official mobile application and inaugurates a Cricket Sub-Centre at Super Magnet School, Hamirpur

Dharamshala, November 1, 2018: BJP MP Anurag Thakur today launched the Official Mobile Application of Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association HPCA at Super Magnet School in Hamirpur, 90 kms from here. HPCA is now among those few cricket associations in India who have their own mobile application said the HPCA official. The function took place at the Super Magnet School’s ground where around 400 kids of the school were present at the function.

Anurag Thakur quoted, “The HPCA mobile application will now enable us to get updates about live matches, information about players (even their registration number can be seen), latest news to keep you updated about the happenings in the HPCA stadiums, its sub-centers and everything that you need to know about Himachal Cricket.”

After the application launch Anurag Thakur also inaugurated the HPCA Cricket sub-center prepared at Super Magnet School in Hamirpur. HPCA is working on the completion of the 70 sub-centres in Himachal in honor of the 70th Independence Day celebration. He said, “On the momentous occasion of 70th anniversary of India’s independence, HPCA launched Mission 70, an initiative to set up 70 cricket sub-centres in the state. Our objective is to search for talents at grass root level, and provide them with a place where they can go and practice daily under proper coaches. These kids will later bring laurels to the state if we start nurturing them now.”

He also said that by the end of 2018, 35 sub centers will start functioning fully and then in the next 4-5 months a tournament between those sub-centers will be organized for the players.
