Jalandhar/Kapurthala, April 23, 2022: A humane holistic world-vision, the feeling of relationship and skills to actualize the holistic world-vision are essential to ensure in every human being. The basic concept of human existence is based on aspects - what to do and how to do. But in life, there is a situation of self or mutual confusion among humans, because what humans are doing, they don't have to do and what a human wants to do, not able to do. Universal Human Values (UHV) is based on various aspects of living in a society, also related to human ethics and right directional development of the society. This was the message of UHV subject expert Sh.Ganesh Bagaria, Founder of Manav Shiksha Sanskar Sansthan, Kanpur. He was addressing the inaugural session of a three-day regional conference on Universal Human Values (UHV) at I.K.Gujral Punjab Technical University (IKGPTU) main campus. This UHV regional Conference sponsored by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). UHV subject experts and faculties from the North-Western region's institutions are participating in this conference. 

The subject expert Sh. Ganesh Bagaria further addressed the topic "Humane Society - the purpose and nature". He said that it is very important to have a life in the form of understanding each other, relationship between human beings. He addressed that to be in harmony within the basis of understanding, feeling and thought of harmony rather than assumptions, hatred, opposition etc.  Expert Bagaria advised to live in a relationship with other human beings, in the family, community, workplace, etc.

Er. Sandeep Kumar Kajal, Director, UHV Department IKGPTU said that the purpose of this conference is to reach out to various faculty volunteers belonging to the North-Western region, who are associated with the subject Universal Human Values. He shared that it is also important that the faculty must be on one track, that the real goal of UHV is for society and to provide the knowledge related to the right lifestyle. "We provide a platform to the participants so they can openly talk about the subject, get to know each other deeply, to understand their colleagues and recognize the power of human harmony with each other." Er. Kajal further added. He also said that in the conference the participants can also share their experiences on the subject and draw inspiration from each other. Director UHV IKGPTU Er. Kajal focused on the urgent need of human values and assured to take more positive initiatives in this direction. Sh. Sandeep Kumar Kajal said that IKGPTU is committed to the vision of our Honorable Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Mann regarding giving the right direction to youth of Punjab. University will play active role in spread of human values amongst our youth in order to ensure their value based skilling and a bright future.

The first session of the conference was conducted both online and offline. The experts enlightened the audience. The experts were from all over india includes Sh Ganesh Bagaria, Founder-Manav Shiksha Sanskar Sansthan (Kanpur), Sh Rajul Asthana (Hyderabad), Chairman of National Committee on Human Values Education AICTE and former Vice Chancellor of Bikaner Technical University Prof. H.D. Charan, Dr. Neetu Bhagat, Deputy Director, AICTE, Prof. Raminder Singh Uppal from Baba Banda Singh Bahadur College of Engineering Sri Fatehgarh Sahib were present in all the sessions.

Dr. Sukhbir Walia, former director of the UHV department of the university said that despite various circumstances for the past 12 years, the university is pursuing this subject considering it as a very important subject from the point of view of society building. University Dean RIC Dr. RPS Bedi also talked about linking the subject with distance education along with regular education.
