Hundreds of couples pledge their love on World Environment Day with TrulyMadly’s Forever Garden

Chandigarh: Ahead of World Environment Day, India’s most loved dating app TrulyMadly has adopted a green lung of more than 1,000 trees in National Capital Region (NCR) to commit to the social goals of hundreds of couples on the platform. The ‘Forever Garden’ initiative empowers environmentally conscious millennial couples in creating a greener planet by adopting and nurturing ‘love’ trees.  

Green lungs are helpful in acting as carbon sinks to compensate for greenhouse gases and in removing particulate matter from the atmosphere, particularly small particles which are responsible for major air pollution-related health hazards. Delhi and NCR region in particular, has been suffering from poor air quality. 

The initiative also takes ‘Couple Goals’, a predominant trend among the millennial generation to work together on common bucket lists, a notch higher by creating a positive impact of human relationships on society.

Based on a geographical cluster of its couples coming forward to pledge their support, the platform will adopt more green lungs on their behalf in metros and non-metros. Couples will be notified about the growth of the trees and would get a chance to nurture their adopted trees as they grow.
