I could instantly feel character after donning DSP uniform

What made you accept Maddam Sir? How does it feel to be associated with Sony SAB?
I am thrilled to be a part of this show. I loved the concept of Maddam Sir and the kind of situations and issues they highlight through such different cases every week. When Anubhav Singh's role came across my way, I knew I wanted to try the role of a cop in the light-hearted comedy genre. I will be essaying the role of a cop for the first time. Sony SAB is known for its values-driven and light-hearted shows and being a part of the SAB family is a wonderful experience.
 

Please share something about your character, Anubhav. Do you relate to this character?
I am still exploring the character of DSP Anubhav. To be honest, my character resonates a lot with Lord 'Krishna's characteristics. As Lord Krishna, he and his talks are very mystical in nature, and he is also very calm in any situation and uses his presence of mind. Anubhav can manipulate, convince and get his work done without even having to use his gun. He loves to pull Haseena 'Malik's (Gulki Joshi) leg. In many ways, I can also relate myself to DSP Anubhav. I always prefer to sort out things without any quarrel or arguments

How does it feel like playing the role of a DSP? Did you always want to essay the role of a cop?
It is an exciting opportunity to play the role of a DSP. I feel I always wanted to essay such a role. I enjoy the dynamic yet relaxed aspect of this character. While I 'didn't prepare much for the role but getting into the uniform automatically put me in 'Anubhav's shoes and my body language changed.

How has the experience been shooting for the show with the cast and crew?
It is a pleasant environment on the sets. Besides shooting in the most responsible and professional manner, everyone gels together well. Everyone is very polite and friendly. By far, they all are pleasant acquaintances. 's It’s great to be working on some show where the actors are so good and talented. Because the work looks more promising, the actors get along with one another off-screen.

How is your rapport with Gulki Joshi? How has been the experience like working together?
It has been a wonderful experience working with Gulki. She is extremely supportive and a great co-star to work with. The dynamics between our characters on the show is exciting and is bound to make the viewers laugh and smile. We had also shot a horse riding sequence together which was a fun experience in itself. My experience has been enjoyable and I hope we keep doing great work together.

What kind of response have you been receiving from your fans and the viewers of Maddam Sir?
I am overwhelmed with the heartwarming response from our viewers. Everyone has accepted and love Anubhav in the show and they are enjoying the twist he brings to the story. I hope they continue to show their support as I am committed to keeping them entertained.

What would you like to say to your viewers?
They have supported me and my work all along and I hope they continue to love DSP Anubhav and keep watching Maddam Sir as some big revelations are in store for our viewers.
