Adding to the list of notable actors on the show, Suman Gupta is seen essaying the role of Devaki who is Kans sister. Here is Suman shedding light on the show, her role and the necessary preparations she is undertaking to get into the skin of her character.
• What prompted you to essay the role Devaki in Yashomati Maiyaa Ke Nandlala and how has your experience been shooting so far?
• To begin with, I am a staunch devotee of Lord Krishna and receiving an opportunity to be a part of Yashomati Maiyaa Ke Nandlala is like a blessing. I feel connected to Him and believe he is always looking after me. With my role as Devaki, I feel that it’s my utmost duty to play the role with fineness and bring out the authenticity and realism of my role as perfectly as possible. My experience has only been a good one so far and with each day, there is something new to learn.
• Were you inclined towards mythology since the beginning?
• I’ve been an avid viewer and reader of mythological shows and scriptures and as I grew, my curiosity to understand the logic and purpose behind every story and character grew even more. Also, I am a spiritual person, so my interest level is always high. Even with this show, I am blessed to learn so many things about Devaki which then help me bring out the nuances better.
• We saw a lot of well-known television personalities in the show; how has it been working with such well-known artists, and how is your rapport with your co-stars?
• It is great to work with co-stars who are supportive and help improve your craft. Another blessing in the show is working with our director who gives hundred percent of his time and energy and brings authenticity to the show.
• The show seems to give a very authentic feel in terms of language, set, and costumes. Have you undergone any kind of workshop or done and special preparation to imbibe that authenticity?
• Honestly, I did not do go through any workshop or special preparation as I’ve been a part of many notable mythological shows. My previous experience really helped be getting into the skin of Devaki in the best possible way and I am grateful for that.
• How do you see your association with Sony on backing one of the lead roles?
• I can say it’s a big deal for me! I am really thankful to Sony Entertainment Television for giving me such wonderful and relatable roles and I hope the association lasts forever. I wish I always be a part of the best of Sony TV shows.
• Any message for the show fans?
• I just have one message for my fans, keep watching Yashomati Maiyaa Ke Nandlala and keep showering your love and support!
