I S Dev Samaj School celebrates beti bachao beti padhao week

Chandigarh: To promote 'education for the girl child' and 'save the girl child' a long week campaign 'Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’ was celebrated with great fervour at I S Dev Samaj Senior Secondary School, Sector 21 here.
The students participated with full enthusiasm in several competitions like essay writing, slogan writing and poster Making etc.
Shnaz of 6th class won the first prize in poster making competition, while Anshika and Mannat Sharma of 8th class won the 2nd and 3rd prize respectively.
In essay writing competition Mannat Sharma of 8th Class won the first prize, while Upinder Kaur of 8th class won the 2nd and Tushar Sharma of 6th class received the 3rd prize.
The students also took out the rally around the school in the residential area, where they raised various slogans to make people aware about the 'Beti Bachao Beti Padhao' campaign.
