I-Social Club of PCM SD College for Women, Jalandhar holds Article Writing Competition on ‘Culinary History of Chhattisgarh’
According to the guidelines of a national program entitled ‘Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat’, the I-Social Club of PCM SD College for Women, Jalandhar organized an Article Writing Competition on the topic ‘Culinary History of Chhattisgarh’.
Jalandhar, March 11, 2024: According to the guidelines of a national program entitled ‘Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat’, the I-Social Club of PCM SD College for Women, Jalandhar organized an Article Writing Competition on the topic ‘Culinary History of Chhattisgarh’.
The competition aimed to encourage students to explore and celebrate the rich culinary heritage of the region while honing their writing skills. The primary objective was to promote research, exploration, and documentation of the diverse culinary traditions and history of Chhattisgarh. Students were encouraged to delve into the historical, cultural, and social aspects of traditional Chhattisgarhi cuisine and showcase their findings through engaging and informative articles.
The articles highlighted traditional ingredients, cooking techniques, regional specialties, and the cultural significance of food in Chhattisgarhi society. Purnima of BA Semester I bagged first prize and Swasti of BA Semester VI got second prize.
President Naresh Budhia, Senior Vice-President Vinod Dada, other members of the managing committee and Principal Prof.(Dr.) Pooja Prashar applauded the efforts of the club in organizing such enriching and educational events to nurture students’ talents and promote cultural exploration and awareness.
