Ludhiana, December 16, 2021: Under the chiarmanship of Dr. Nachiket Kotwaliwale, Director, ICAR-CIPHET, Ludhiana a webcast/live streaming of PM’s Address on Natural Farming was cordinated for farmers, students and satffs of the institute. In this virtual program, Shri Bhupendrabhai Patel, CM, Gujarat welcomed all the delegates and participants attending National Conference on Zero Budget Natural Farming physically and virtually. Shri Narendra Singh Tomar, Union Minsiter of Agriculture and Farmer’s Welfare, GoI and Shri Amrit Shah, Union Minister for Home Affairs and Cooperation, GoI highlighted the need for natural farming, breifed about different scheme of GoI and justified the advantages of natural farming along with its role in sustainibility. Shri Acharya Devvrat, Governor, Gujarat delivered a keynote address on Natural Farming and explained why one should go for natural farming. He shared with audiences many sucees stories and his own experiences. In the event in which about 8 crore farmers joined physically and virtually was concluded with valedictory address deleivered by Honorable PM, GoI, Shri Narendra Modi. PM told the advantages of natural farming and appealed all farmers to give a try to test the natural farming at least in a small area of their farm and witness the advantages of natural farming. Quoting from holy Rigved and poetry of Indian poets, he emphasised the need to practice natural farming. All staffs of the institute along with farmers partcipated enthusiatically. Lunch was made available to all attendees. The live streaming of PM’s Address on Natural Farming was attended by 182 participants. On this occasion, different technologies developed by ICAR-CIPHET, Ludhiana were also showcased to farmers.
