ICAR-CIPHET Ludhiana Shines at 4th India Agri Progress Expo
ICAR-CIPHET Ludhiana showcased its prowess at the 4th India Agri Progress Expo (IAPE), an International exhibition focusing on agriculture machinery and dairy technology, hosted at the Ludhiana Exhibition Centre in Sahnewal. The event drew participation from over 1000 farmers who explored the innovations presented at the ICAR-CIPHET Ludhiana stall.
Ludhiana, January 23, 2024: ICAR-CIPHET Ludhiana showcased its prowess at the 4th India Agri Progress Expo (IAPE), an International exhibition focusing on agriculture machinery and dairy technology, hosted at the Ludhiana Exhibition Centre in Sahnewal. The event drew participation from over 1000 farmers who explored the innovations presented at the ICAR-CIPHET Ludhiana stall.
Visitors were particularly captivated by ICAR-CIPHET's novel technologies, with a spotlight on the soybean milk and groundnut milk making process, as well as the millet processing techniques. The exhibition witnessed a surge in interest from young farmers, many of whom eagerly registered for upcoming training programs facilitated by ICAR-CIPHET.
A notable success story from the event was Mr. Setia, an entrepreneur trained by ICAR-CIPHET, who successfully marketed his products at the institute's stall. During the event a special session on “Scale suitable mechanization solutions for smallholder farmers of Global South” and 30 candidates from the Africa participated in the event. Dr. Ranjeet Singh, Head of the Transfer of Technology Division, emphasized the pressing need for processing agricultural produce in the current scenario, stressing its potential to enhance farmer income and elevate product quality in the event.
