ICAR-CIPHET, Ludhiana successfully completed 3-day Entrepreneurship Development program
Ludhiana, January 25, 2024: ICAR–Central Institute of Post–Harvest Engineering and Technology, Ludhiana organized a three-days Entrepreneurship Development Program on “Valorization of fruits and by-products through primary and secondary processing” from 23rd to 25th January, 2024 under the CRP on SA project ‘Extraction of bioactive compounds and value addition to by-products of farms and agro-processing industries’. This training program was aimed to impart technical knowledge and hands-on-training to the participants for processing of fruits such as amla, guava and kinnow to obtain main products as well as converting the by-products into value added products through secondary processing. Five persons, including two women, from Fazilka and Shri Muktsar sahib district attended this EDP program. The training program was coordinated by Dr. Manju Bala, Principal Scientist and Dr. Deepika Goswami, Senior Scientist, ICAR-CIPHET Ludhiana. Dr. Nachiket Kotwaliwale, Director, ICAR-CIPHET encouraged the participants for entrepreneurship and highlighted that the processing facilities of ICAR-CIPHET, Ludhiana and Regional Station, Abohar can be utilized by them to initiate their entrepreneurial activities and attain experience for entering into the processing field.
