ICAR-CIPHET Signs MoU with Mera Farmhouse, Chandigarh to Promote Post-Harvest Technologies
Ludhiana, August 13, 2024: ICAR - Central Institute of Post-Harvest Engineering and Technology, Ludhiana and Mera Farmhouse Chandigarh entered into an agreement to collaborate on the promotion of post-harvest technologies among smallholder farmers and to establish Model Agro-Processing Centres (APCs) at the village level. These centres will serve as hubs for demonstrating and implementing advanced agro-processing techniques, empowering rural communities to add value to their produce and increase their income. This strategic partnership aims to enhance the dissemination of cutting-edge post-harvest solutions, ensuring that farmers gain access to innovative technologies developed by ICAR-CIPHET. The Memorandum of Understanding was signed by Dr. Nachiket Kotwaliwale, Director, ICAR - CIPHET, Ludhiana and Mr. Nikhil Garg, CEO, Mera Farmhouse on August 13, 2024 at ICAR-CIPHET Ludhiana. The program was facilitated by Dr. Renu Balakrishnan I/c ITMU. Dr. Sandeep Mann, Head, AS&EC Division, officially handed over the MoU in the presence of Dr. Ranjeet, Head of the ToT Division, along with Mr Manpreet Sharma and Mr Arvind Kumar delegates from Mera Farmhouse.
