IDPD apprehends serious threat to health of farmers agitating for their genuine demands
Appeals to central government to consider their demands
Ludhiana: At this time when the cold weather has already set in and Covid cases are on the rise, there can be serious threat to the health of the farmers agitating for their genuine demands. Since they have been stooped from going to Delhi by the Haryana government, because of which they have decided to hold indefinite morcha at the border.
The Indian Doctors for Peace and Development (IDPD) has expressed serious concern over the situation and appealed to the state government to ensure them round the clock medical services. “We also appeal to the farmers to maintain physical distance and take precautions like wearing masks and washing hands”, said the IDPD president Dr SS Soodan, senior vice president Dr Arun Mitra and finance secretary Dr Bharti Uppal, adding, “We also appeal to the central government to consider their demands with empathy lest there is deepening of the health crisis.”
