IDPD salutes brave Indian soldiers at Galwan Valley
Immediate de-escalation needed as both are nuclear weapons possessing countries
Ludhiana: Indian Doctors for Peace and Development (IDPD) expressed heartfelt condolences with the families of our soldiers martyred in the Galwan valley. In a statement released here today Dr S S Soodan - President, Dr Arun Mitra – Sr. vice President and Dr Shakeel Ur Rahman General Secretary IDPD said that ‘we salute to our soldiers who sacrificed their life defending the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the country in Galvan valley”.
If immediate steps are not taken to defuse the situation this can lead to dangerous consequences in the region. We wish de-escalation of the situation through dialogue immediately. Any armed conflict could be very dangerous as both are nuclear weapon power countries. Serious bilateral conflict resolution efforts are needed for de-escalation of forces. Also efforts be made to create an atmosphere of peace and harmonious coexistence with other neighbours including Nepal and Pakistan which has become so important during the COVID crisis which has led to serious economic difficulties.
