If Congress is pro-Dalit, then why doesn't it declare Selja as CM candidate: Smriti Irani

Rohtak, September 30, 2024: Former Union Minister Smriti Irani cornered Congress strongly on the issue of Dalits and OBCs. Smriti Irani said that Congress has always been anti-Dalit, anti-OBC and anti-Constitution. In Selja's case, Haryana has understood the anti-Dalit thinking of Congress. Now Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge has also proved that Congress is an anti-OBC party by commenting on Prime Minister Narendra Modi. 

Former Union Minister Smriti Irani, while talking to journalists at Rohtak, targeted the Congress that if Congress is so much a Dalit lover, then why does it not declare Kumari Selja as the CM candidate. Actually, the mentality of Congress is not in the interest of Dalits. On the question of Rahul Gandhi making Selja-Hooda join hands, Smriti Irani said that only hands of Kumari Selja and Bhupendra Singh Hooda have joined, hearts have not joined, what is that meeting which is done under compulsion. Smriti Irani said that wherever Congress goes, it makes false promises. In the states where Congress is in power, Congress made promises but could not fulfill those promises. Wherever Congress has come to power, the public did not get anything in those states, on the contrary, the treasury of the people has definitely become empty. Smriti Irani said that Congress should think about how many times the Gandhi family made changes in the Constitution.

 Former Union Minister Smriti Irani said that BJP is coming to power in Haryana for the third time. During the press conference, BJP's national spokesperson KK Sharma, BJP state media in-charge Arvind Saini, co-media in-charge Shamsher Kharak, former Haryana Women Commission president Pratibha Suman were present.

In response to a question, Smriti Irani said that Congress president Mallikaarjun Kharge cannot tolerate a Prime Minister from OBC community. That is why she is making such comments on the Prime Minister. Actually, one should not expect culture from Congress leaders. They should not make such cultureless comments. It is a testament to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's culture that despite such sharp comments and foul language, Modi enquired about Mallikaarjun Kharge's health. In response to a question, Smriti Irani said that even the small constituents of the Indy alliance, are they being operated by a remote control? Insulting any political party in a democratic structure shows political arrogance.

In response to a question, former Union Minister said that Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi's visit to Haryana will work the same way as it did in the Lok Sabha elections. The result of Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi's visit in the Lok Sabha elections was that Congress sat in the opposition. Now Rahul and Priyanka will put Congress in opposition in Haryana too. On the question of health, Smriti Irani said that in the states where Congress is in power, Congress did not make any arrangements for a scheme like Ayushman. On the question of Adani, Smriti Irani said that in Haryana, only Robert Vadra is seen with Adani, if Adani is so corrupt then why are the members of the Gandhi family roaming around with him.
BJP is farmer friendly, not Congress

Former Union Minister Smriti Irani, responding to a question, said that BJP gave compensation of Rs 12,500 crore to the farmers in Haryana during its 10-year tenure. Whereas Congress had given a total compensation of Rs 1,100 crore. During the tenure of Congress, the MSP of wheat was Rs 1350, BJP increased it to 2075. Therefore, the true well-wisher of farmers is BJP, not Congress. Smriti Irani said that in Haryana, Rs 74 thousand 680 crore has been transferred to the bank accounts of people through DBT. But along with this, BJP has also caught 36 lakh fake beneficiaries, that is why Congress must have felt pain. 

Smriti Irani said that BJP has given more than 1 lakh 40 thousand government jobs in Haryana. Running more than 1 lakh 60 thousand MSME operations under Mudra Yojana proves that on one hand government jobs and on the other hand self-reliant youth are moving towards progress. Smriti Irani said that BJP has given more than one crore 20 lakh Ayushman cards and so far 82 thousand people have got treatment worth Rs 5-5 lakh under the scheme. With the support of the PM, the government connected 11 lakh families to the PM Ujjwala Yojana and provided clean fuel. Toilets were built under the Swachh Bharat Yojana and Prime Minister Narendra Modi provided Rs 5 thousand crore to women of poor families. In Haryana, one lakh 15 thousand families got their own house under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. Farmers got PM Kisan
Women will be given Rs 2100 per month

During the press conference, former Union Minister Smriti Irani said that with transparency, Rs 74 thousand 680 crores were sent to the pockets of the citizens of Haryana through DBT. Now with a new resolution, women will be given Rs 2100 every month under the Laado scheme in honor of women. Youth will be given jobs in 10 new industrial cities. Scooties will be given to girl students under the Awwal Balika Yojana.
