New Delhi: Addressing the delegates at the Conference on NCLT & NCLAT: Convergence of Corporate Jurisdiction held at PHD House, New Delhi, today, the Chief Guest Mr Balvinder Singh, Member, National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT) stated that the main focus of an organization to survive is its viability.
 
Mr Balvinder Singh, while stressing upon the convergence of jurisdiction reiterated that strategic rules made by the institutions encourage flow of ideas.
 
Transformation of Rules into law creates divergence, Said Mr. Singh.
 
Mr Singh also highlighted about the stages for Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code wherein he called resolution process a tedious one and added that liquidation not only relies on factual practices.
 
Mr Naveen Gupta, Chairman, Corporate Affairs, PHD Chamber while addressing a distinguished audience, said that the role of National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) has been growing multifaceted in the regulator and judiciary forum.
 
He also highlighted about the latest developments in the New Companies Act, which played an enormous role in the NCLT.
 
While elaborated on the role played by PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry in creating awareness among industry stakeholders to collectively work, Mr Gupta further discussed the emerging aspects of convergence of Corporate Jurisdiction.
 
The conference was attended by more than 200 delegates from the field of Company Secretary and Chartered Accountancy among others. /(Feb 26)
