IFMR GSB Interim placement report for MBA batch 2021
40 students receive offer letters from 4 top US Banks
Over 80% of the students have already been placed in the ongoing placement season, hired by a significant number of finance, consulting and technology giants at IFMR Graduate School of Business, Krea University.
According to the interim placement report for the MBA batch 2019-21, witnessed a rise in average salaries for its 2-year MBA program by 10%.
Highlight of this placement season has been the fact that 4 top US banks - JP Morgan Chase, Bank of America, Wells Fargo and Citi - have collectively hired over 40 students, essentially, 25 % of the students placed till now.
Five or more students were hired by 10 large companies which include JP Morgan Chase, Wells Fargo, Société Générale, Citi, Deloitte, IDFC First Bank, Accenture, Cognizant, Wipro and HCL Technologies among other marquee recruiters include Barclays, Bank of America, Credit Suisse, HDFC Bank, EY, KPMG and Crisil.
“The focus on enhancing skills and quality of the student has been rewarded by demanding recruiters including the top US and European banks, who account for an increasing proportion of our placements”, added Dr. Amit Das, Chairperson – Admissions."
Interestingly, IFMR GSB witnessed a consistent growth in average salary over the past three years (2017-18 and 2019-20) with 50-75 percent of the students typically placed in finance, consulting and technology companies.
“Technologies such as analytics and artificial intelligence, cyber forensics, robotics and blockchain are redefining the financial services landscape and experiential learning is becoming a key component of learning in the new context”, said Mr. Ramkumar Ramamoorthy, Pro Vice-Chancellor for Professional Learning at Krea University and former Chairman and MD, Cognizant India.
