IHTM Celebrates International Chefs Day at The Dafeteria, MDU Food Park.
The Institute of Hotel & Tourism Management (IHTM) at MDU, Rohtak celebrated International Chefs Day at The Dafeteria, located in the MDU Food Park. The event saw enthusiastic participation from faculty members and students of both IHTM and the Department of Law.
Rohtak, October 20, 2024: The Institute of Hotel & Tourism Management (IHTM) at MDU, Rohtak celebrated International Chefs Day at The Dafeteria, located in the MDU Food Park. The event saw enthusiastic participation from faculty members and students of both IHTM and the Department of Law.
The celebrations began with a Lamp Lighting Ceremony followed by an insightful introduction to the significance of International Chefs Day by Prof. Sandeep Malik. Prof. Anand K Singh, a distinguished faculty of IHTM, highlighted the evolving role of chefs in the global hospitality landscape. Chef Anurag, Entrepreneur and Owner at Anuraag's Cafe graced the occasion as guest of Honour. He gave insights from trade to be successful in the hotel, hospitality and culinary sector. He emphasized on the role of positive attitude in the services sector.
IHTM Director, Prof. Ashish Dahiya, spoke about the institute's commitment to fostering culinary excellence and its growing focus on providing hands-on learning experiences to students through collaborations with industry leaders.
A key highlight of the event was a Workshop by Chefs from Nestlé India, which featured live demonstrations of Vietnamese Coffee and Pasta Making, offering students a unique opportunity to engage with expert chefs and learn about international culinary techniques.
Dr. Gaurav Tyagi expressed gratitude to all the participants and contributors. The International Chefs Day celebration at IHTM provided a platform to honor the culinary profession and inspired students to pursue excellence in the field.
