IIA Calcutta Chapter hosted its 30th Annual Conference at Kolkata

Kolkata, March 24, 2023: The Institute of Internal Auditors India Calcutta Chapter organized its 30th Annual Conference at the Taj Bengal today. Dr. Kunal Sarkar, renowned Cardiac Surgeon, inaugurated the session. Prominent speakers at the session included Uma Prakash, President IIA India, Ajit Kumar Paul, President, IIA Bangladesh,  Amitava  Saha,  Secretary, IIA Bangladesh, CA (Dr) Debasis Mitra, Immediate Past President ICAI and other dignitaries from the corporate world.
 
Suman Chaudhury, President, IIA CC, said "The theme Sustainability and Survival of Internal Audit is extremely relevant today in this age of disruptive technologies -the entire Community of Internal Auditors need to gear up to the changing needs and embrace the innovations".
 
Around 200 delegates attended the session. Several delegates reiterated the need for workshops to spread awareness about the new technologies like AI and Block chain and how to apply those in Internal Audit. Mr. Debshish Ghosh, Chairperson - Conference Committee, IIA India Calcutta Chapter said that the Institute is planning to conduct such workshops in the near future.
