IIALC architects discuss sustainable kitchens
Leading architect members of Indian Institute of Architects Ludhiana Centre did a session on sustainable kitchens for today’s construction.
Ludhiana, November 20, 2022: Leading architect members of Indian Institute of Architects Ludhiana Centre did a session on sustainable kitchens for today’s construction.
Different materials options were discussed in detail and kitchens made with steel were found to be more durable and maintenance free.
As compared to traditional kitchens made of wood/ply, stainless steel/metal kitchens are more long lasting as these are water resistant, termite resistant and fire resistant.
Being kitchen must be most hygienical place in any building, so role of architect is very important not only for best design but for materials too.
Price of kitchen now a days ranges from two - three lakh to almost a crore of rupees depending upon size, shape, design, materials, appliances etc.
During last decade maximum revolution has come in kitchens, if we talk about spaces in different kinds of projects.
Meeting was attended by many architects, kitchen experts, executive members of IIA Ludhiana Centre including Yogesh Singla, Balbir Bagga, Bimaldeep Singh, Vikas Sharma, Jaideep Arora, Mani talwar, B S Brar, Sumit Sharma, Nikhil Jindal, Harneet Kaur, Nikhil Singhania, Aditi Jain, Aanchal, Gurseerat, Anshia Badyal, and many more.
Ar Sanjay Goel- one of the directors of Ludhiana Smart City Ltd and Chairman of IIA Punjab Chapter shared his detailed study about various types of kitchens in the market with respect to materials, maintenance and prices.
