Jalandhar/Kapurthala, September 5, 2024: Teacher is a reformer of the past as well as a creator of the future. His or her efforts towards shaping the minds, instilling values, and inspiring greatness; research, teaching experience and structured delivery is strengthening the nation. Every teacher is proof of educated society, teaching experiences and structure delivery. These are the words of the Vice Chancellor, I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical University (IKG PTU) Prof (Dr) Susheel Mittal. VC Prof (Dr) Mittal was addressing the grand function organized in the University main campus on Teachers' Day. He joined the ceremony as the chief guest. He congratulated everyone on Teachers' Day, stating the pride of the teacher not changing his identity as a creator even in his/her changed form from the past to the present. University Registrar Dr. S.K. Misra and Dean Academics Prof (Dr) Vikas Chawla attended the ceremony as special guests and presided over the function on host part.
In the welcome message, Registrar Dr Misra congratulated everyone on the special day and thanked the Vice Chancellor for connecting the officers category with teaching in the university. He expressed his views on the challenges related to the field of teaching. Dean Academics Prof (Dr) Vikas Chawla discussed the peace he gets from teaching students. He called this day no less than a holy day. Dean International Affairs and Alumni Dr. R.P.S. Bedi shared his experiences from teaching in the class to preparing lectures and connecting with students. Finance Officer and Expert Faculty Dr. Sukhbir Singh Walia spoke on the responsibilities of a teacher.
At the end of the ceremony, Dean Faculty Prof (Dr) Gaurav Bhargava expressed his gratitude to everyone. On this occasion, faculty, officers and staff members of various departments of the university were present. Deputy Registrar Public Relations Rajneesh Sharma took the responsibility of conducting the stage.
