IKG PTU celebrates World Radio Day, Sukhdeep Singh Founder Anhad Studios joined as expert
I.K.Gujral Punjab Technical University (IKGPTU) celebrated "World Radio Day" with an expert lecture organized by the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication in the mentorship of Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Susheel Mittal. Sukhdeep Singh, Founder of "Anhad Studios", served as the resource person for the event. Prof. (Dr.) Ranbir Singh, Head of the department of JMC, along with other faculty members, warmly welcomed the resource person.
Jalandhar/Kapurthala, February 14, 2024: I.K.Gujral Punjab Technical University (IKGPTU) celebrated "World Radio Day" with an expert lecture organized by the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication in the mentorship of Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Susheel Mittal. Sukhdeep Singh, Founder of "Anhad Studios", served as the resource person for the event. During an engaging discussion on the scope of digital radio, the speaker emphasized the vast opportunities available in this dynamic industry. He highlighted the integration of digital platforms, which has extended the reach of radio beyond traditional broadcasting, allowing for the incorporation of e-books and other digital content into programming. The evolving landscape of digital radio offers promising career paths, including roles in platforms like JioSaavn, underscoring the demand for skilled professionals.
The speaker underscored the significance of voice-over artists in digital radio and the importance of mastering elements such as pitch and pace to deliver engaging content. Content creation remains crucial, necessitating individuals with strong writing skills to craft compelling material and effectively engage listeners. One key takeaway is that effective communication skills can pave the way for success in the radio industry, with a focus on channeling energies appropriately.
Furthermore, the speaker provided a practical demonstration to the students on voice recording, allowing several students to record their voices on the system. The resource person also gently answered all the queries and cleared the doubts of the students.
Registrar Dr S K Misra congratulated the department for successfully organizing this event. Dean Academics Prof Dr Vikas Chawla also appreciated the teamwork towards this day's specific celebration.
The stage was moderated by the students of BAJMC, third semester Anushka and Komal.
