IKGPTU joint venture International Conference on Indian Knowledge System Concludes with Thought-Provoking Insights and Recognition of Academic Excellence

Jalandhar/Kapurthala, April 17, 2025: The two-days International Conference on Indian Knowledge System: From Glorious Past to Bright Future concluded with thought provoking insights and recognition of academic excellence. This conference was jointly organized by I. K. Gujral Punjab Technical University (IKGPTU), Kapurthala; Maharaja Agrasen University (MAU), Baddi and Baba Mastnath University (BMU), Rohtak. 100+ number of research papers have been presented in the six parallel technical sessions igniting intellectual engagements on the themes of the conference related to Management, Basic & Applied Sciences, Engineering & Technology, Law, Pharmacy and General & Social Sciences.

Prof. (Dr.) Susheel Mittal, Vice Chancellor, IKGPTU presided over the valedictory session as Chief Guest. Prof. P. S. Walia, Dean Academics, MAU delivered the welcome speech and Dr. Aashima Mittal, Faculty Member, MAU presented the report of various technical sessions. Prof. (Dr.) R. K. Gupta, Vice Chancellor, MAU and Prof. (Dr.) H. L. Verma, Vice Chancellor (BMU) congratulated the research scholars and paper presenters for their presentations and stated that they are thrilled and satisfied with the quality of research papers with thought provoking ideas presented at the conference.

Prof. (Dr.) Susheel Mittal & Registrar Dr S K Misra congratulated three Universities for successfully organising this conference. Prof. Mittal stated that Prof. (Dr.) R. K. Gupta had out of box vision to bring three Universities from Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and Haryana together for organising this conference and with the untiring efforts of the organising teams from three Universities this conference has been a grand success. He also mentioned that as Vice Chancellor of a University he feels that the discourse and publications in this conference is a service to the society. Prof. Mittal congratulated all researchers whose papers have been published in edited books, and he motivated the researchers and faculty members to imbibe their research findings in their classroom teaching so that the output from this conference can be used in improving the quality of life of the people.

The faculty members and researchers have been accorded with awards in five categories. Prof. (Dr.) Gaurav Bhargava, Dean Faculty Welfare and Dr. Rajeev Bedi, Associate Dean (R&D) have been conferred with Outstanding Achievement Award. Dr. Savina Bansal, Professor, MRSPTU; Dr. Parveen Bansal, Former Director, BFUHS, Faridkot; Dr. Sushil Kansal, Professor, UICET, Panjab University, Chandigarh and Dr. Mandeep Kaur, Assistant Professor (Management), IKGPTU have been accorded with Best Academician Award. Lalit Jain, IAS has been conferred with Outstanding Administrator Award.

Veer Kaur and Raman, Research Scholars (HLCS); Dr. Mandeep Kaur, Upasana Seth and Adish Kumar, from Department of Management Studies and Sahil Chaudhary, Research Scholar (Pharmacy) from IKGPTU have been bestowed with Young Researcher Awards. Moreover, research paper by Dr. Megha Goyal has been adjudged with Best Research Paper Award in Basic and Applied Sciences and the research paper by Naina, Adish and Dr. Kapil Gupta have earned best research paper award in Management.

Dr. Vinay Chamoli, Faculty Member, MAU proposed a Vote of Thanks, and the valedictory session concluded with the National Anthem.
