IKGPTU Journalism Department Students Secure Top Positions at Media Fest

Jalandhar/Kapurthala, March 6, 2025: Students from the Journalism & Mass Communication Department of I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical University (IKGPTU) main campus Kapurthala excelled at the Media Fest organized by Khalsa College, Amritsar.
The fest featured multiple inter-college competitions, where IKGPTU students showcased outstanding performances. University Vice Chancellor Prof (Dr) Susheel Mittal, Registrar Dr S K Misra & Dean Academics Prof Dr Vikas Chawla congratulated the students and honored them in Vice Chancellor office. Authorities also appreciated the efforts, initiatives of Head of the department Journalism & Mass Communication Dr Ranbir Singh towards students' overall growth.
In the Quiz Competition, students Deepak, Babanpreet, and Manmir Singh secured the first position. In the Poster Making category, Babanpreet won first place, while in Poetry, Amarvir secured the second position. Additionally, Rahul and Geeta earned the third position in Photography and Caption Writing, respectively.
On this occasion, Assistant Professors Dr. Ekta Mahajan, Mangla Sahni, and H.K. Singh was also present to congratulate the students.
