IKGPTU launches pre-registration admissions portal

Jalandhar/Kapurthala, May 6, 2022: I.K Gujral Punjab Technical University (IKGPTU) has taken various decisions to provide more student friendly facilities for the new admission session 2022-23. This time, the information about admission to various graduate and post-graduate courses being run by the university will be given to the students from time to time sitting at their home. This information will be shared through emails, messages, phone calls etc. Interested students will get this facility after registering on the pre-registration portal. In this regard, the Pre-Registration for Admissions Portal has been launched by the Admission Cell of the University on Friday. Along with this, the first hand information booklet has also been issued by the University for the Information of various courses to the students. In this handbook, information about all the campuses of the university as well as affiliated colleges has been recorded. Along with this, admission contact numbers, e-mails etc. of various places have also been released.

University Vice Chancellor Sh. Rahul Bhandari IAS has congratulated the university team for this initiative. He has also given green signal to provide maximum facilities to the students in the new session and increase the seats in the main campus and other campuses. While launching the Admission Portal and releasing the information leaflet, Chief Coordinator Admissions Prof (Dr.) Vikas Chawla appealed to the students to take maximum benefit of pre-registration by highlighting the importance of government educational institutions. Deputy Registrar admissions Rishi Gupta shared that the pre-registration will close the bonding between students & university. He said that many students are not even aware that the courses are being taught around them which are their first choice or in which they are looking for their future. He informed that after going through the pre-admission, all registered students will get various types of admission & career related information through various message sharing tools.

It was inaugurated by University Registrar Dr. S. K Mishra by clicking on the portal. During the launch, Dean Prof Dr Yadwinder Singh Brar, Dean Prof (Dr.) Neel Kanth Grover, Director Finance Department Dr. Sukhbir Walia, Deputy Registrar PR Rajneesh Sharma and others were present.
